2015 I heard about Ed Rudolph Velodrome first time, of course decided to watch one of Thursday nights racing. Wanted to fill “the speed”. I was not disappointed, I catch on of the fastest races in Chicago Roger Delanghe Trophy.
It was amazing show by George Garner Cyclery team who took 3 first places! I just fell in love with this amazing Track experience.
2016 season was my first at Track. Started with Cat 5 and get to Cat 3. I won 11 races at Track this year, working on my sprint skills and improve my intervals. I took Illinois State Championships in Scratch and Point Race. Second place in Madison Race.
In 2016 I took 16th place in Roger Delanghe Trophy which was my fastest race in that time with average speed getting to 30 miles per hour. I got chance to race it this year too and on finish line I was 12th. It is brutally fast race with soe best guys in Chicago like Tyler George, Jake Buescher or Jeffrey Whiteman. I have to be honest there is a lot of work to do to keep up with those guys, they are just flying! I am good enough to race same races but not good enough to try to win any of them. After this season I am moving to Cat 2. It will be tough winter :).
Roger Delanghe Trophy was Illinois State Championship at Scratch race which one won in Cat 3. There is 2 more night with States so do not get lazy!
